The U.S. housing ecosystem
is complex. We're making
it navigable.

shelter.bot is building tools to help renters, buyers, advocates, and policymakers understand and navigate the full landscape of housing in America — from federal policy to your front door.

Our Mission

Making the invisible ecosystem visible

Housing in the U.S. involves hundreds of players: federal agencies like HUD and FHA, state housing authorities, local zoning boards, banks, GSEs, realtors, developers, nonprofits, insurers, and a growing wave of proptech and innovation. For most people, this ecosystem is invisible — until they desperately need it.

shelter.bot is building a living map of this ecosystem — making it possible for anyone to see who the players are, how they connect, and where to turn for help.

Our focus is affordability: connecting people with resources, demystifying programs like Section 8, LIHTC, and FHA loans, and shining a light on emerging models like community land trusts, co-housing, and modular construction.
